Fence / Gate Inspection

Inspection of fence materials

-- Wood -- Concrete -- with or -- without waterproof coating

Inspection of fence condition:

Inspect bottom parts of the wood fences: Any rot and termite: -- Yes -- No.

Any damage at the bottom parts of fences and gates?

Any of the fences and gates loose, out of plumb and unstable due to wind and other weather conditions? If yes, provide additional support.

Any sagging? If yes, consider replacement.

Any rust or corrosion on metal fences? Clean, treat, or replace.

Rotting is a serious wood destroying problem. Wood coating (stain or paint) breaks down when wood gets wet and moisture for a long period of time. Poke the wood with your screwdriver to see if the wood yields, indicating rot --> Wood needs to be replaced.
