Foreclosure Inspection - Inspection of Doors and Stairs
Inspection of doors
Testing of doors
Test the doors by opening and closing them to see if there is any friction at the top or bottom. Inspect further for any structural problem if any door does not open or close with comfort. Rubbing or binding at doors could be due to settlement.
Main entry and patio doors: -- Any cracking, chipping, rotting, and delaminating? If yes, repair or replace

Vertical insulation material has some deterioration in the photograph above. Material under the door was fine.
Is weather stripping intact? -- Yes -- No. (inspect from outside, then inside)
Insulated storm doors are needed in colder climates. Check condition of removable glass and screen for cracks, chipping, and any damage.
Are joints tight and secure? Open, close and pull the door for inspection. See any light coming through from any side.
